With the likes of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption to its name, Rockstar has created some of the richest game worlds ever seen. With L.A. Noire, the developer turns its hand to 1940s L.A., placing players into the shoes of a rookie detective tackling the darker side of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Utilizing a new motion capture technology, every expression and thought is shown across characters’ faces in immense detail, allowing players to read each witness and suspect for their reactions, ultimately deciding if they are telling the truth or hiding something.
As players search down clues, chase suspects and conduct intense interviews, they will be able to explore a detailed and in-depth depiction of an L.A. still enjoying the post-war boom of Hollywood’s golden age. Players can also tackle multiple cases, with new storylines opening up during each investigation.
